Materials Needed

In order to successfully create this water filter several materials were needed to be used together to create the filtering process.

1. 2L Plastic Bottle
   • The Plastic bottle will be used to hold all the filtering materials in an order from fine material to coarse
2. Paper Towel
   • Placed at the mouth/lid of the bottle forming the the lining for the system
3. Activated Charcoal
   • The activated charcoal is the finest material in the system used as a filtering layer
4. Sand
   • Sand is used as another layer in the filtering system
5. Gravel
   1. Gravel is used as another layer that helps filter out contaminated substance
6. Small Rocks
   • Small rocks used as the second layer in the filter system
7. Big Rocks
   • Big rocks used as first layer in the filter system that block off any contamination that is too big and thick.
